Life can feel like a storm.
There are seasons when the winds of fear, uncertainty, grief, disappointment, and struggle rise around us, and the waves of life seem stronger than we can handle. In those moments, it can be easy to wonder, “Where is God in the middle of this storm?”
The answer is found in a powerful moment recorded in Scripture.
Jesus and His disciples were crossing the sea when a fierce storm suddenly arose. As the waves crashed against the boat, the disciples became afraid. Yet Jesus was with them in the boat. He stood, spoke to the wind and the waves, and the storm became calm.
That story is more than an account of a storm on the sea. It is a reminder that Jesus is present in our storms, too.

We believe that while we may not always be able to control the winds around us or stop every wave that comes our way, we can trust the One who has authority over them.
Sometimes Jesus calms the storm around us.
Sometimes He calms the storm within us.
And sometimes, He carries us safely through the storm.
